2015 Started with a Comet
An area that also continues to intrigue me is to try some mosaics and some HDR images in order to challenge me to improve my Photoshop skills and possibly even have a look at PixInsight, that is gaining more traction for the common Astrophotography software kit bag. I failed to achieve this for a second year however :(
My continued involvement with Perth Observatory's Volunteer Group (POVG) was dominated by assisting to ensure Perth Observatory's public outreach continues, though others did much more, now with POVG running the facility and I deciding to take on 4-person private 'star adoption' tours. A POVG newsletter article provides more information on my astronomy interest and can be found in the POVG Winter 2015 newsletter here http://us6.campaign-archive1.com/?u=48ce386506fcce29cc481b04b&id=3a6f6e446b#astro
Unless stated otherwise, images are from my home location in Willetton, 12 Km south of the centre of Perth, Western Australia, though I used this far less now as it is unsuitable for faint objects.
My favourite shots can also be found on AstroBin http://www.astrobin.com/users/scottastrophe
